Buffalo - Canvas Print
I've said it before, and I'm going to say it again... and probably again sometime later... Boulder is an amazing place to live and the Flatirons are a source of endless inspiration for me. I've also been thinking a lot lately about how beautiful it must have been to have seen them hundreds of years ago before Boulder was settled. Before the 29th St Mall, before Home Depot, before US 36 and I-25... Back when there were enormous herds of bison stretched out across the plains. It's crazy to me that they were basically eradicated. I wish we could have found a way to coexist instead. So I thought I would pay homage to the Boulder Buffalo and try to capture some of the powerful synergy between land and animal that must have once existed here...
